44 WEST started as a small 1930's semi-detached house. The property was design. planned and built by Inevitable Developments. The property was purchased as a two bedroom house
A rear full width double storey extension was added to the current footprint. This allowed for a large living space, with open plan kitchen and additional bedroom on the first floor. Additionally to this the original layout of the building was transformed to include a downstairs toilet and new office space. Structurally the building was underpinned with new full width steels to brace the upper floor and allowing for the most open space possible. The clients budget was particular constrained but this meant that the space had to be maximised and work effectively in the shortest build time possible.

The design considered many aspects including either side neighbours, it included a large rear window to allow for as much light in to the new bedrooms and also the addition of some cladding to break up the masonry surface facing the neighbour. The garden was also landscaped to include a large decking to connect the building to the garden due to altering heights.
